The platform's redesign for the AICA Network had the objective of digitally strengthening an initiative that, since 1997, has been transforming lives in Serra/ES. Created by the Pastoral do Menor, the AICA Network offers socio-assistance services that guarantee the rights of children, adolescents, young people, and their families in situations of social vulnerability.
We noticed that the old platform did not reflect the power of the work being done: the navigation was limited, the information was scattered, and the possibilities for engagement and donation were barely visible. Thus, our objective with the redesign was to create a more accessible, intuitive, and welcoming digital experience by reorganizing the content in a clear way, facilitating access to information about the services offered, expanding the possibilities for contacting the network, and introducing a dedicated page for fundraising, with direct guidance on how to contribute.

My role
My role
My role
In this project, I worked on the research and interface design stages, focusing on improving the navigation experience and strengthening the institutional positioning of the Aica Network. I performed a comparative analysis (visual benchmarking) to understand how other third-sector organizations structure their digital communication, identifying good practices in layout, information hierarchy, and engagement strategies.
Next, I conducted an evaluation of the information architecture of the previous platform, which allowed us to map usability problems and propose a new organization that was more intuitive and functional. Based on this data, I was responsible for the redesign of the "About Us," "Board of Directors," "Partners," and "News" pages, as well as the landing page aimed at attracting new donors and partners.

Platform analysis
Platform analysis
As an initial step in the platform's redesign, we conducted a critical analysis of the existing information architecture. The objective was to understand how the content was organized, how users navigated between sections, and what the main points of friction were. By mapping the structure of the previous site, several problems that compromised the user experience were identified, including:
Lack of hierarchy in the presented content;
Lack of visibility for strategic areas (Such as actions, contact channels, and ways to contribute to the project);
Duplicated or scattered information;
The analysis provided the foundation for the complete restructuring of the information architecture, guiding the development of a simpler, more organized, and user-centered flow, with more logical and objective navigation paths.

Benchmarking - Visual
As part of the platform's redesign process, a Benchmarking was carried out with the objective of analyzing how other social organizations structured their sections – such as About Us, Board of Directors, News, Partners, and donation pages. This survey allowed us to observe recurring patterns, effective ways to present institutional content, and strategies for fundraising.
